Homework
November Homework 2020. Current Homework is "Giving Thanks Always". It is an exercise for the Thanksgiving Holiday but one that should be practiced throughout the year. This reframing exercise is designed to help you learn to think differently. We think and then we feel. This means if we can learn to control how we think about something we can change the way we feel about something. There is a Scripture under Monthly Devotion that may provide additional insight to this assignment. You will find the Devotional on the Daily Bread Link November 26st.
December Homework 2020. A video under life-skills will complement the assignment. "Coping with Covid-19 Over the Holidays". Please view the video and utilize coping skills and reframing techniques you have been working on.
December-January Homework 2020-2021. In addition to listing new goals or resolutions, I believe it is equally important to list goals achieved. There is nothing wrong with giving ourselves a "pat on the back" in recognition of how far we have come. This Homework is titled "My Accomplishments".
January-February Homework 2021. Social Support Systems are important to any kind of Recovery. This Homework is titled "We Need People". A video will follow to accompany the sheet.
February-March Homework 2021. Learning to manage stressors. This Homework is titled "I'm Overwhelmed". (No Video)
March-April Homework 2021. Learning to manage your environment. Filter out information to regain balance and perspective.

April-May Homework 2021. Controlling things that we can by keeping organized not only gets things done but it improves the our mood. Try this simple organizational intervention and see if it helps. This Homework is titled "Staying on Track". (No Video)
May-June Homework 2021. I added this video to address a recurring question. I hope it is helpful. The handout requests honest feedback. It is important that an honest discussion be had regarding the difference between the treatment of Dependency vs. Addiction. This Homework is titled "Can I Smoke Marijuana if it is Legal?".

July-Aug Homework 2021. Many changes are happening at Redirections. Groups will be resuming in August and we will me moving to a new location in Washington. All patients have been notified. The video will give details on what to expect. This Homework is titled "Back to Normal".
