Dr. Sean Porbin passed on 01/09/22  He was a man of true integrity and honor.   Board Certified in Addictions Medicine, his contribution to the Treatment of Opioid Dependency was ground breaking and will live on through the practitioners and patients that he touched. Dr. Porbin was with Redirections from the beginning and remained until he could no longer provide care.  Dr. Porbin's commitment to doing the right thing is a rare quality in a world where people tend to take the easy path.

It is impossible to communicate the loss of a doctor that was so devoted to his patients. He was a modern day hero to myself and the fortunate people that were blessed to have known him. When Redirections was  battling a storm Dr. Porbin remained steady in his commitment to Redirections and patient  care. The lives that he saved with his compassion, skill, and resilience will be remembered.

Mission Statement

Redirections Treatment Advocates was organized in 2012. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals who are battling opiate dependency. We are committed to providing its patients with 24/7 support in an atmosphere that promotes respect and understanding.

Buprenorphine/Naloxone Treatment is initiated by a physician Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and qualified to prescribe Buprenorphine/Naloxone under the Drug Treatment Act, DATA 2000. By viewing addiction as a chronic relapsing condition, we have developed a unique approach to treatment with proven successes.

If medication maintenance or eventual Buprenorphine abstinence is your goal, we can help you build the skills to succeed. Opiate dependency is a bio/psycho/social/spiritual condition that can be treated with medical stabilization, a new outlook, and personal growth.  In conjunction with increased coping skills, personal advancement, social support, and spiritual outreach, this battle can be won.

We believe that the cure for opiate dependency is a healthy, happy life. We are one of the few providers that believe and have had success aiding patients in discontinuing the medication completely if that is the patient’s goal.
